Amazing case for price, some minor issues but worth it.
So, I'm very very picky and particular when it comes to protection for my iPhone, especially my new 5. This case surprised me. I thought it would be crappy and an instant return.. But what I realized is that this case is as moderately good as the other more expensive BRANDNAME ones.
This case does its job. It has a comfy soft silicone inner shell, and then a hard plastic outer shell. You do have to put it together and take it apart for the easiest fit and release (which takes approximately 30 seconds) But the nice thing is... there's no branding on it. It's perfectly generic. No company name, or logo printed on the case. This is something that makes me happy.
The case matches the black of my iPhone and the white is a nice counter color. It actually looks a lot nicer than I thought. The lip of the case protects my screen perfectly. The hold button is sort of deep inside the case but you can reach it okay, and this is probably to make sure it doesn't get toggled accidentally.
The stand is not spring loaded but who cares? Un clip the stand, lock the lever in place (almost feels natural) and then you're good to go!
The only issue I have is a slight difficulty with the headphone jack. The jack is walled around by the case bottom. The sync port is perfectly fine, but the headphone jack is a bit difficult to connect with standard jacks. I have an adapter from my first iPhone (the very first iPhone) that fits perfectly.
The silicon also can sort of dip near the bottom of the case... if this bothers you (it really is harmless) just slide your thumb under the black hard part at the bottom and it springs up again. It's really no big deal, but I can be a bit particular sometimes.
Overall, this case is great. It's affordable (costs about 50% less than brand name cases), and if you're careful like me, will last a good while. The headphone problem is a minor complication that can be solved by quickly removing the case. (Then everyone can admire how thin and gorgeous it is!) It syncs just fine. Sounds great. Looks great. And the camera has no glare or bad effects from the window in the case.. I recommend it definitely. Just wish they had more colors... for other people so everyone didn't have to go black and white.
Screen Lip perfect.
Headphone access is slightly difficult
Hold button protection is a bit too deep.
