Battery is great, the cover however, not so much

The battery so far has been working out well. I spend a lot of time without access to a charging source and although the standard battery was decent, many times I ran out of charge before arriving back to the shop or home. The antenna is painted onto the inside of the door. When I recieved mine one of the contacts was cracked and broke off when I installed it. I crazy glued it back together ensuring that it lined up properly but I got no service with it. I did a little research and found that many of the aftermarket covers dont give as good of a signal strength as the oem's do so given that in my case it was the broken point and even glued, the fracture still was not giving sufficient contact I didnt want to take a chance that an exact replacement would give me a better signal. I ordered an oem back to replace it and it works as it is supposed to.
So. in closing the battery works excellent takes and holds a charge well, gives me more than enough time. The added bulk is not objectionable and if anything more comfortable in my ham sized hands :). I will decline to rate the back because of the factors I mentioned and since I did not opt for an exact replacement cannot give an honest opinion one way or the other.
